Are you feeling the winter blues? Come shake them off at Azilda’s Winter Wonderland carnival, brought to you by Café Heritage’s Le Festival de Noël.
On Friday night, head to Whitewater Lake Park for the official launch of the Christmas Village and Nativity Scene, complete with a dazzling light show. And if that’s not enough to get you in the holiday spirit, there will be a performance from Rodney Meilleur. The carnival runs every night until December 27th, so you have plenty of time to get your fill of festive cheer.
But wait, there’s more! On Saturday, join in on Rolly’s Games, featuring all sorts of zany activities like tea boiling, fire building, crosscut sawing, and even snow snaking (whatever that is). And if you’re feeling brave, don’t miss Lancer de la Pitoune (a targeted log toss), the snow show relay, and pea spitting. Yes, you read that right – pea spitting. And if that’s not enough, the grand finale features the Seal Crawl Relay, where competitors slide down the track like, you guessed it, seals. And after all that excitement, don’t forget to head to the Lionel Lalonde Centre for Le Réveillon, a dinner and celebration featuring a concert from some talented musicians.
So don’t let the winter blues get you down – come out and join in on the fun at Azilda’s Winter Wonderland carnival. Visit cafefestivalnoel.ca for more information and tickets.
