The Calm Before Food Porn

As finally we approach an ending to Covid 19 restrictions we are all eager to hit the ground running and hit every store, shop and restaurant we can find. We all need to look deep within the city to where to start and what to eat.

As all the normal fast food joints have remained open their starting to get tiresome and old real fast. We need some diversity and change to our ever growing pallet and hunger for something new and unique.

We all can appreciate most restaurants have changed and adapted to Covid 19 protocol, strict rules and have opened new patios on almost every corner of the city. But when we start driving around the city we can start to get overwhelmed as to where to start or where to eat.

Also our diverse city has adapted to the “fast food” lifestyle and newly opened food trucks have now become a popular way to divulge in different foods and menus. So it’s time Sudbury for us to fill our mouths and belly’s and help support our local food industry which has taken a beating financially and skilled employees finding new work elsewhere to support their families and make it through this pandemic.

So let’s jump into 3 great new patios and 3 awesome food trucks that have opened around town.

First on our list is locally owned The Fromagerie which has been a hidden secret around downtown but there food and reviews have been nothing short of amazing. Their brand new patio is a must stop spot for date night or a night out with friends.

Second is The Laughing Buddha which is another amazing spot downtown that’s a hidden secret until you finally make your way to their outdoor drinks & dining experience.

And for the third spot we give a massive shout out to the Vespa street kitchen on Regent Street which has the most diverse menu filled with tons of choices and mouth-watering food.

Now for our favourite thing as Sudburians we take pride in our food trucks, which dawn every corner all over the city.

The first place is a fast growing and popular place that has been the talk of the town on Malley drive “Eat Me” which has reviews that make you want to come out and try the entire menu. With a great colourful truck and catchy name this place won’t disappoint.

Our second place is a Garson staple and place that has customers returning time and time again. “Bundy’s” on Falconbridge Road in the heart of Garson. This place has an amazing poutine and other awesome simple soul food options.

Our third and final spot is the newly opened food truck at Cara’s Convenience The “Rocket Launcher” which is sure to delight anyone whose eyes are bigger then there stomach. The menu options are quite unique and daily specials that will sure to explode those taste buds, it’s a must try this summer when cruising down Lorne Street.

Well I don’t know about you but after writing this article my stomach is growling and my minds running with ideas and anticipation on what to eat next.

There’s always something new to try on every street corner around Greater Sudbury.

Let’s get out and support local business’ which need us more than ever right now!
