Over Half Of Ontarians Approve Of Provincial Governments Handling Of COVID-19

As we have seen the cases of COVID-19 skyrocket in Ontario, a majority of people in the province still approve of the Provincial Governments handling of COVID-19. This comes on the heals of some businesses in the provinces largest region being shut down.

In a recent poll conducted by the Angus Reid Institute, the government of Ontario had a majority of approval on there handling of COVID-19. The poll had 55% of Ontarians approve of Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservative Party’s handling.

Doug Ford, who has had many flashes of brilliance during the pandemic, is still riding in majority territory in Ontario.

In the survey of over 1000 people 55% think the government is doing a good job, while 44% think the province is doing a poor job.

The poll also found that 56% of people think that Doug Ford himself is doing a good job. Very similar results come in for the Chief Health Officer as 55% of people think the Chief Health Officer of the province is also doing a good job.
