Canada Orders Almost 1 Needle Per Person For Coronavirus Vaccine

Canada has order almost 1 needle per person for the Coronavirus vaccine. What that translates to is a whopping 37 million syringes. With this many syringes ordered for the vaccine, will it be mandatory?

According to reports coming out of the Toronto Star, Canada had ordered these 37 million syringes to be ready when the coronavirus vaccine is found. To put that in perspective, when you google Canada population the answer comes up as 37.59 million in 2019. This would mean almost one syringe per person was ordered.

As of today if you were to look at the stats on the coronavirus in Canada we are doing pretty good compared to other countries. In Canada, we have had 92,410 cases and 7,395 deaths with over 50,000 already marked as recovered.

The company that will be providing Canada with these syringes is the Canadian branch of the medical tech company, Becton Dickson.

It was just at the end of April that Justin Trudeau had said that he will have to ‘reflect’ on mandatory coronavirus vaccination. However with Canada ordering almost 1 syringe per person it is unknown how that reflection is going.

Canada has also approved 38 trials for treatments of the disease. These treatment range from the controversial method of using hydroxycloroquine. The drug which is used for a number of other ailments such as arthritis and lupus made headlines early in the pandemic when touted by United States 45th President Donald J. Trump.

Other drugs that are being tested are LSALT Peptide, NP-120 (Ifenprodil) and Nitric oxide; along with many others.

In Ontario the number of tests is climbing as virtually anyone can get tested for the coronavirus. Doug Ford who is the Premier of Ontario encourages people daily to get tested. Whether you think you have been exposed to the virus or if you are an essential worker, you can get tested.

It appears they may be close to a vaccine in the Untied States. The United States top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the US should have 100 million doses of one of the vaccine candidates by the end of the year. Unfortunately he also said that the vaccine may only provide immunity for around a year.
