Even though the Liberal Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, urged everyday regular Canadians not to travel, we still seen Liberal politicians travel outside the country. The Liberals weren’t the only ones guilty of leaving the country either.
Many of the politicians in Canada have been under some serious scrutiny and had to resign high profile positions because of their reckless travel.
The politicians were extremely irresponsible by travelling while telling Canadians to stay home and avoid visiting neighbours during the holiday season. Not only did these politicians travel outside of Canada but some of them supported some of the strictest lockdowns ever imposed of Canadians.
This type of behaviour by these politicians comes as an expected all time low in public confidence of elected officials.
These politicians come from all political stripes as well. We also seen these politicians leave Canada for numerous reasons while Canadians were asked to stay home.
Doug Ford, who is the Premier of Canada’s largest province, was extremely disappointed with the Finance Ministers trip to St. Barts.
Coincidently two of the most prominent NDP politicians in the country both chastised the opposition leaders for having members of their caucus travelling, all the while ignoring publicly the fact that one of their own Niki Ashton just travelled to Greece.
